The Center for Writers and Translators is delighted to welcome Kate Briggs, who will read from and discuss her听blend of essay and memoir听This Little Art.听A genre-bending song for the practice of literary translation,听This Little Art听has been named one of 2017's books of the year by the听Times Literary Supplement听补苍诲听The Guardian. A former instructor at 吃瓜tv, Kate Briggs is the translator of two volumes of lecture and seminar notes by Roland Barthes (Columbia University Press, 2011 and 2013). She lives in Rotterdam and teaches writing at the Piet Zwart Institute.
