  • Available to speak with faculty on a case-by-case basis if any AI tools that are approved for a student's accessibility raise issues or concerns. We are always looking for alternative tools if a current AI tool is being misused or not addressing the accommodation needs.泭

  • Pilot program for generative AI chat tool licenses泭
  • No direct technical support, but for sharing will be facilitated among pilot participants about their experience, challenges and questions in using the tools (e.g. in the space on Teams)泭
  • Financial support for training on AI in teaching泭
  • A small amount of funding is available to support faculty interested in substantial training (beyond a simple webinar) related to use of AI in teaching and learning泭泭

    • To use it: in the Primo OneSearch box on the , click the search button to get to the Simple Search page, then click Research Assistant at the top left泭
  • Many Library-purchased resources are beginning to offer integrated AI tools for exploring their content, including:泭
    • summarizes and responds to questions about articles, recommends related JSTOR content and topics泭
    • answers queries based on Chronicle of Higher Education content archive泭

Writing Lab泭

Help with AI issues/challenges泭

  • AI tools are not currently part of the Writing Lab's toolkit or best practices, but they continue to grapple with the question of whether to recommend AI generated tools to students who visit them泭
  • This term they are:泭泭
    • Playing with, creating, testing, revising, and trying out some AI powered prompts that could potentially benefit students in their writing process: from generating ideas and narrowing the scope of the writing project to reverse outlining泭
    • Discussing ethical concerns that come with adopting these tools泭
  • When/if they choose to use AI tools, they will ask to see the student's course syllabus, read together their professor's policy on AI use in class, and discuss the repercussions of violating 勛圖tvs academic integrity code.泭
  • They are eager to learn how faculty are reimagining / reshaping assignments, activities and policies; how they are navigating AIs challenges and opportunities in their classes; and how the Writing Lab can support you. Please contact us with feedback and suggestions.泭
