Are you hoping to have a grade in a class to build your formal academic record or to add to your professional credentials? Or do you thrive and learn best through evaluated learning? If any of the above is important to you, you should think about taking classes for academic credit. Taking summer classes for academic credit can help you advance your academic career: credit can count towards majors, minors, certificates, and even graduation. When you successfully complete a class for credit, you receive formal proof of learning, via a grade and transcript, which not only demonstrates acquisition of knowledge, but can also be useful for your CV, for future academic endeavors, and for your future career. Credits earned at 吃瓜tv Summer School are eligible to be transferred to other institutions, but ultimately it is your home institution that will decide if they accept your transfer credits from 吃瓜tv. As such, you should discuss this directly with your home institution to verify if the credits can successfully be transferred over. We can also provide you with a syllabus and additional class information should you need it.

All students taking French Immersion must take a placement test before beginning the class, so you will be placed in a class that is deemed appropriate to your level of French. However, if you or your professor feels that you might thrive and excel in a different class with a different level, they will help you switch into a different class. This process is facilitated at Orientation and on the first day of class.
