This year, the American University of Paris launched a two-week series of events, sponsored by departments ranging from theCenter for Critical Democracy Studiesto theCreative Writing Program, in honor of Black History Month. These included a screening of Laurence Petit-Jouvets documentary,La Ligne de Couleur, which explores what it means to be non-white in France, a talk by writer and journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates about his latest book,Between the World and Me, and a discussion led by writer, critic, and editor, Thomas Chatterton Williams.
